Joyce Marie Seyer, 71, of Jackson, MO. passed away Sunday, September 26, 2021 at Fountainbleau Lodge in Cape Girardeau, MO.

She was born on September 19, 1950, daughter of Herman and Lena Compas Bucher.  Joyce and Thomas Seyer were united in marriage on June 17, 1978.

Joyce enjoyed reading, cross stitching, and was a librarian for 38 years. She loved being with her grandchildren, nieces and nephews and will be greatly missed by all.

Survivors include her husband of the home, son Caleb (Kelly) Seyer of Kansas City, MO; daughter Alicia Seyer of Cape Girardeau, MO; sister Maryann (Joe) Garvey of Jackson, MO; brothers Wilfred (Alyce) Bucher,  Frank (Margie) Bucher, Denis (Sharon) Bucher; three grandchildren Joshua See, Brady Seyer, and Caitlin See; one sister in-law Pam Bucher

She is preceded in death by her parents and brothers James Bucher, Ralph Bucher

Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at the Ford and Sons Funeral Home in Jackson, MO. with parish prayers and rosary starting at 7:00 pm

Funeral Mass will take place 10:00 am on Thursday, September 30, 2021 at the Immaculate Conception Church in Jackson, MO. with Fr. Randy Tochtrop officiating.

Burial will be in the Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson, MO.
